Ashland has been part of Mary Jo's life since her son Danny started performing with them in 2007. In 2009, Rob asked Mary Jo to write a grant proposal for the fledgling ACT! program. Since then, she's been part of Ashland in many off-stage and behind-the-scenes capacities, including being on the Board of Directors since 2010. As a parent and Board member, she's been able to see first-hand the difference Ashland can make in the lives of kids, creating a secure home base where they learn to flourish not just as performers but as confident and compassionate people. Mary Jo holds BS degrees in chemistry (St. Catherine University) and chemical engineering (Washington University in St. Louis) and works for 3M in Business Transformation deployment as a Quality Subject Matter Expert. Her 37-year career with 3M has included a variety of technical and management positions including development team leader, Product Engineering/Product Development Manager, Technical Service Manger, and Division Quality Manager. She and her husband Wyeth have three grown children. Mary Jo performs with Harmonic Relief, a community show choir, and with the chamber choir Saint Paul Vocal Forum, where she is also the President of the Board of Directors.
