Head Over Heels Audition Information & Registration
Auditions for our summer production of Head Over Heels are open to High School Students
A hilarious, exuberant celebration of love, HEAD OVER HEELS follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts. This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”
There is a $250 participation fee for all participants, though through the generosity of our donors, Ashland is able to offer significant scholarships to all participants who need them.
Before signing up for a Head Over Heels audition slot, you must fill out the registration form
Once you have completed your registration form, you may sign up for an audition slot using the sign-up genius.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
32 bars of a musical theater style song
Be prepared to dance (comfortable clothing, tennis/dance shoes)

Invited callbacks will take place May 22
REHEARSAL DETAILS:
June 5 - July 27; Monday - Friday; 7pm - 10pm. (Tech week may run later.)
Rehearsals will be held at Ashland Productions beginning June 26;
Earlier rehearsals will likely be held at a different location, less than 10 miles from Ashland.
CONFLICTS:
Conflicts will be taken into consideration when casting the show. A large number of conflicts or conflicts during the last week of rehearsals (June 11 - June 22) or during performances (June 23 - July 2, with a possible extension) may impact casting decisions.
REHEARSAL LOCATIONS:
Rehearsals will be held at Ashland Productions beginning June 26
Earlier rehearsals will likely be held at a different location, less than 10 miles from Ashland
All tech rehearsals, and all performances will be held at Ashland’s theatre in the Maplewood YMCA (2100 White Bear Ave, Maplewood).
