Camp Counselor Application

APPLICATIONS OPEN-- Apply Now!

Ashland Productions will be accepting applications for Summer Camp Counselors-- Senior, Junior, and Tech Counselor-- positions for students going into 9th grade thru students finishing 12th grade.  We will be hiring Senior and Tech Counselors for all summer camps and Junior Counselors for our 1-6 grade camps.  All counselor positions should be in attendance for the full camp, as well as the weekend performances.  Counselors will be hired based on experience, availability, and responses on the counselor application.  Applications acceptance has been EXTENDED through April 22 via the Ashland Productions website.

Senior Counselor:
Our Senior Counselor positions are for veteran counselors or students who have more experience working with children.  They will run activities, work with campers, and model for Junior Counselors.  Senior counselors are expected to work the entire day, with a 30-minute lunch break and a 30-minute prep period for the following day.  Senior Counselors are expected to be involved during Camp Counselor training and to arrive each day with activities already planned.  Senior Counselor positions will be paid between $225-$275 a week depending on the length of the camp.  Taxes will be taken out this year.

Junior Counselor:
Junior Counselors are voluntary, unpaid positions.  During camp they will spend a portion of the day observing camp and working alongside the counselor coordinator and Senior Counselors to develop their skills.  The other portion of the day Junior Counselors will work directly with campers.

Tech Counselor:
Tech Counselors are voluntary, unpaid positions. During camp they will spend a portion of the day working with the tech elements (sound, costume, lights) and the other portion of the day working directly with the campers and developing skills as a counselor.  Unlike last Summer, Tech Counselors will also be participating in training, observing, and leading activities alongside the junior counselors.
