The Performance Intensive is an immersive camp for high school students designed to expose them to new performance techniques, and build upon existing skills, in a fun, fast-paced week. Through a series of workshops, small and large group breakouts, and one-on-one coaching, students will leave the Performance Intensive equipped with new skills to audition, rehearse, and perform in their communities. Students will select one of two tracks as their focus for the week: Drama or Musical Theater. Both tracks will perform their polished material at both performances on June 16 & 17.
Drama Track students will be cast in a One Act play and will spend their week diving into character development, plot analysis, and using their bodies and voices to bring scripts to life.
Musical Theater students will be cast in a variety of numbers in a musical theatre revue. Students will spend their week learning choreography and vocal selections from contemporary and classic musicals to build up their triple threat performing skills.
