Camp Counselor Application

Who? We are looking for middle and high school students (7th Grade-Graduating Seniors next fall) with a passion for working with children, building leadership skills, and bringing theater arts to younger generations.

When? Counselors are hired for various weeks throughout the summer based on their own availability and the needs for each camp. Applicants do not need to be available for all weeks of Ashland Summer Camps. Candidates who are available for two or more camps during the summer may be preferred during the hiring process.

Camp Counselor Positions

The Junior Counselor positions are designed for individuals with less leadership experience or experience working with children. This is an unpaid position intended to offer valuable learning and growth experiences to help individuals with future employment/volunteer opportunities.

The Senior Counselor positions are designed for more experienced applicants with impressive experience working with children, in leadership positions, and/or in a theater arts environment. This is a paid position. Senior Counselor applicants are also able to indicate if they are interested in a Tech Counselor position.

The Tech Counselor positions are responsible for assisting with all technical aspects of the program (lights, sound) and will also be assigned a group of campers like typical Counselor positions. The Tech Counselor has the same responsibilities as the Senior Counselors, with an addition of running tech.
