Cabaret-v3.jpg

You've reached the Ashland Cabaret Fundraiser details page!  Here you can purchase your tickets to the cabaret AND you can help us by donating towards our goal of $20,000!  We have many incredible performers who will be highlighted throughout the performance and they need your support!  Each performer will be raising money to help Ashland continue to provide transformative experiences for performers of all ages.

If you want to help support our programs, please click on a performer's name and donate toward their performance!  Just remember to put their name in the "DEDICATION HONOREE" category to give them credit.  If you want to give credit to everyone, just put that in the same field--no need to choose between your friends!   For more information or questions, please contact Elisa Olson, Managing Director at: elisa@ashlandproductions.org or 651-383-8114.

Kristen Bark Ashland has been my home away from home for 10 years now. I have become a stronger and more confident person from the support and growth Ashland has brought into my life. I know I am not alone, as I have watched thousands of other students and adults grow through the mission of Ashland. I am forever grateful for this incredible opportunity and company, and I strongly believe in the future of Ashland Productions.

Christina Berget Ashland Productions holds a special place in Christina's heart. She had the honor of directing Music Man alongside the artistic director, Rob Sutherland. Meeting all the wonderful students inspired her to become an ACT! Director for three years. Christina couldn't get enough of Ashland and quickly jumped on board working backstage and helping out wherever she could. Christina has met so many inspiring students through her position as the Education Director at Ashland Productions, and is amazed by the kindness, talent, and joy of students who spend time in our theater.

Henry Clark I am going into 6th grade at Hill-Murray. I don’t have a favorite sport, but if acting counts then that is my favorite sport! Ashland holds a special place in my heart because I have done so much there, such as: Willy Wonka, The Wizard of Oz, and The Lion King Jr. My favorite director has been Christopher Teipner. He cast me as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz and as Charlie in Willie Wonka. Christopher has helped me grow and learn so much in my acting. I can’t imagine my life without Ashland. It is a part of me!

Kris Eklund Nearly 15 years ago I began a journey with Ashland Productions and a magical man named Rob Sutherland. I suddenly had an organization to be devoted to and an outlet for my long-neglected love of performing. Over the years, I have watched as Ashland and Rob have literally changed lives, young and old - mine included. I have no doubt that the world is a better place because Ashland Productions is in it.

Alex Johnson Ashland is a prime example of what community theatre is all about. It's a very friendly and inclusive environment that challenges you in the best ways possible while also providing growth. I've only performed in one show with Ashland (Pippin) and afterwards it had me begging to come back, so when I was asked to be a part of the fundraiser, I had to accept! The people I have met were unlike any other and I cannot wait to create more memories with this amazing company.

Shawn A. Krueger I met some life-long friends doing Fiddler at Ashland in 2002, and always enjoy the shows from the audience as well. Our kids have brought friends for birthday parties and everyone has a unique experience to remember. The show quality is always great, and the ticket prices are reasonable… that’s sometimes a tough niche to fill!

John Kurtz I'm John Kurtz, and Ashland makes a difference in my life because I can be myself on stage and with my actor friends. I've learned acting skills, and how to be more responsible too. The staff are amazing and I love performing more than almost anything else.

Abi Lampert I am 15 years old, and going into my sophomore year of highschool at SPCPA. My entire life basically revolves around musical theatre, which Ashland has very much contributed to. Ashland Productions has been a part of my life since 2010, and now I spend more time here than I do anywhere else. And I wouldn't change that for anything. I have made so many friends here at Ashland, and I have learned so much from my time spent here. Ashland has really changed my life in the best way possible.

Mary Jo Lewis Ashland has been part of my life since my son Danny started performing with them about 10 years ago, In 2009, Rob asked me to write a grant proposal for the fledgling ACT! program. Since then, I've been part of Ashland in many off-stage and behind-the-scenes capacities, but this is the first time I've been on stage (!!!) with Ashland. As a parent and Board member I've been able to see first-hand the difference Ashland can make in the lives of kids, creating a secure home base where they learn to flourish not just as performers but as confident and compassionate people. That is exactly what I would desire in any organization that our kids participate in, and that is what Ashland provides - and that is what makes Ashland special!

Brittany Ringsdore My first show at Ashland was Pirates , one of the middle school summer camps. I was King of the High Seas and loved every minute of that camp. My family just moved here from Zurich and I did not know anyone and was very nervous. I found instant friendship and acceptance at Ashland and since then I am now doing my 9 th show Grease! I also got to be in Jesus Christ Superstar with my mom who got into theatre after 30 years not being on stage.

Mary Ann Ringsdore After living oversees for ten years, we moved to Minnesota not knowing one person. I was looking for something for my 13 year old daughter to do for the summer and a woman I met in line at Kohl’s told me about Ashland. She signed up for a camp, I volunteered and BOOM…instant family. After being here now for 5 years, Ashland is a very important part of our lives. Acceptance, friendship and support is what Ashland is all about!!

Jordan Rollinger I'm going into 8th grade and I've been with Ashland since 3rd grade. Without Ashland, I would not have a second home, a happy place, and a great learning environment for acting and life skills. Ashland is a welcoming place that I could not live without.

Rachel Sandstrom I have forged life-long friendships and reconnected with friends from the past doing community theater shows.  Ashland fosters the growth of young people by providing a safe, and creative outlet.  Ashland and local theaters bring together the whole community, from performers, their families, the patrons, and local business (after a show when hungry performers descend upon them like locusts).  People of all ages come to be involved in Ashland in various capacities because of the sense of belonging and venue to do what they love, with people they love.

Elizabeth Sarsfield When I did my first show with Ashland a number of years ago, I was excited to have the opportunity to mentor younger performers. I would be able to “pay it forward” for the mentoring I had received while growing up performing in Twin Cities theaters. Much to my surprise, from my very first production with Ashland, I have been the one mentored! The amazingly talented and gracious children and teens of Ashland Productions welcomed me, spent extra time helping me to learn dance routines and voice parts and most recently when I suffered a knee injury, they quietly and inconspicuously helped me down from platforms and stairs on stage, while never missing a beat and without being asked. Without their generous spirits, I would have had to drop out of the production. By helping me down, they lifted me up! That is Ashland!

Jeff Shepherd Jeff Shepherd has many fond memories of working with Ashland!  He started his journey as a last minute addition to a (long ago!) Christmas show, and has been a fan ever since!  From Adam in "Children of Eden"...to Albert Peterson in "Bye Bye Birdie!"...to Ruben in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"...he's enjoyed getting to know the stellar staff and actors of the company.  Ashland's focus on teaching youth has always been particularly admired, and he has really appreciated the opportunity to work with so many STELLAR young people!

John Siracusa I've seen several of Ashland's Productions and have been blown away by the talent and creativity of everyone involved. It was only after having the AMAZING opportunity to be a part of their production of Seussical that I realized just how much this "family" of caring and dedicated professionals transform the lives of not only those involved in their productions but in the surrounding community as well. I am honored to be asked to be a part of this fundraiser supporting such an outstanding organization.

Sheila-Marie Untiedt Ashland is a rare and treasured oasis where everyone is encouraged and supported to be their personal best. Moxie and grit are valued alongside perfect pitch and talent. Everyone is welcome and everyone has a place to showcase their love for theater. The confidence, friendships and enthusiasm created and nurtured at Ashland translate and apply to the world outside these theater doors.

Bridget Wallace My first Ashland experience was in 2011 when I was only six years old.  I participated in my first Ashland summer camp, “Disney Magic”, and since then, I’ve been hooked on just about everything that has to do with Ashland theatre. I love it because I can go there and just be who I really am, with all of my awesome friends, and we all love and respect each other as we are.  Ashland has also helped me learn important life lessons, such as being prepared for rehearsals and learning to adapt to whatever unexpected things may happen during a show.  Ashland allows me to be my true self, to learn how to be a better person and actor, and encourages me to strive to be amazing!
